Recap: Steelers Make Roster Moves Ahead of Packers Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers are adjusting their roster for Week 10.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers made some adjustments to their roster ahead of Week 10 when they face the Green Bay Packers.

The Steelers started the weekend by ruling out two defensive starters in Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring) and Montravius Adams (ankle). Neither player practiced throughout the week, and will be replaced against Green Bay. Damontae Kazee and Keanu Neal will start at safety, with rookie Keeanu Benton starting at nose tackle.

Pittsburgh also added two names from their practice squad to their game day roster. The Steelers elevated safety Trenton Thompson and linebacker Tariq Carpenter to the active/inactive list, meaning they will revert back to the practice squad after the game without having to pass through waivers.

With Cole Holcomb on Injured Reserve with a knee injury, Carpenter will add depth to an inside linebacker room that will turn to Kwon Alexander, Elandon Roberts and Mark Robinson.

As for Thompson, he'll add depth and special teams play to the Steelers safety position without Fitzpatrick.
