Steelers Scouting Colorado vs. Oregon Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers are checking out Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffalo and the 10th-ranked Oregon Ducks.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are doing their NFL Draft homework this weekend, with eyes on one of the biggest games in college football between Colorado and Oregon.

With Colorado's emergence behind Deion Sanders, the Buffaloes have soared into the top 25. Meanwhile, the Ducks are ranked 10th with their eyes on a pivotal Pac-12 victory to push them near the top four.

According to 247 Sports' Matt Prehm, the Steelers are the only team that sent a scout to the game.

Chances are the Steelers sent Mark Bruener, who was their long-time West Coast scout, or Kelvin Fisher, who spent last year scouting the West.

As for who they are scouting, Oregon's top prospects include quarterback Bo Nix, wide receiver Troy Franklin, and defensive end Brandon Dorlus. For Colorado, Shedeur Sanders, Deion's son, has taken over college football this season.

For the Steelers to be the only team in attendance is a bit surprising, but having a "Steelers mentality" is something Pittsburgh has always taken highly in considering a player. With Oregon being a consistent winner and Sanders adding his demeanor to Colorado, the attitude of these two teams meets what the Steelers would look for.
