Steelers Make Second Round of Roster Cuts

The Pittsburgh Steelers cut another 10 players.

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers are continuing their roster trim as they cut their team from 90 to 53 before the start of the regular season.

The team announced the release of 10 players, bringing their total to 18.

Their second round of cuts included safeties Kenny Robinson and Jalen Elliott, cornerback Lavert Hill, defensive tackle Manny Jones, linebackers Tanner Muse and Toby Ndukwe, offensive linemen William Dunkle and Le’Raven Clark, quarterback Tanner Morgan, and running back Darius Hagans.

The release of Robinson and Elliott limits the Steelers safety room to Trenton Thompson and Tre Norwood behind Minkah Fitzpatrick, Keanu Neal and Damontae Kazee.

At inside linebacker, Muse’s release could indicate Nick Kwiatkoski is safe.

Broderick Jones and Dylan Cook are the last remaining backup offensive tackles on the roster behind Dan Moore and Chuks Okorafor.

The Steelers have also likely finalized their quarterback room of Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph.
