Steelers Slammed With Injuries in Week 3

The Pittsburgh Steelers are missing key players on both sides of the ball.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers got slammed with injuries as they begin preparation for Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders. On their initial report, six players missed practice due to injuries.

The Steelers defense was without safeties Damontae Kazee (calf) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (calf), linebacker Markus Golden (knee), and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (foot).

On offense, they were without tight end Darnell Washington (knee) and wide receiver Gunner Olszewski (concussion).

Cornerback Patrick Peterson and guard Isaac Seumalo were given a vet's day off.

Kazee and Golden were surprise additions to the report after not being mentioned after the game by head coach Mike Tomlin. If Fitzpatrick is not able to return from his chest injury, Kazee's presence will be crucial for the Steelers against the Raiders.

Washington dealing with a knee injury was unforeseen as well. His condition is something to monitor moving forward. Olszewski will need to clear concussion protocol in order to play in Week 3.
