Steelers Make Two Changes to Starting Lineup

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially made two depth chart changes.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially named two players their starters after sending them out with the first team in the last several weeks. On their Week 15 depth chart, nose tackle Keeanu Benton has surpassed Montravius Adams, and kick returner Godwin Igwebuike is now officially the starter over Anthony McFarland.

Benton replaced Adams five weeks ago after the veteran suffered an ankle injury. Despite returning last week and remaining in the starting lineup, Benton seemingly kept his starting job and is now officially the team's starter for the first time this season.

The second-round rookie has 31 tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles, and two pass deflections this season.

Igwebuike surpassed McFarland two weeks ago, but the Steelers never officially changed the depth chart. McFarland has been inactive the last three games, while Igwebuike has dressed and started as their kick returner.

Igwebuike joined the team earlier in the season after McFarland suffered a knee injury. The team brought him back from Injured Reserve on the final day they could activate him, and he briefly returned to the starting lineup.

Both players are listed as the team's third-string running back. In weeks past, McFarland was the third option, with Igwebuike listed as the fourth-stringer.
