Steelers Make Two Changes to Starting Lineup

The Pittsburgh Steelers announce two replacements in their starting lineup.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding two players to their starting roster in light of injuries to Diontae Johnson and Cam Heyward. The team announced Calvin Austin will take over at wide receiver, and DeMarvin Leal will start at defensive tackle.

Austin will make his first NFL start in just his second healthy game. Pittsburgh will work with George Pickens and Austin on the outside with Allen Robinson manning the slot. Gunner Olszewski is likely to see a role in Week 2 after not being active in Week 1.

At defensive tackle, the Steelers had options between Leal, Isaiahh Loudermilk and rookie Keeanu Benton to replace Heyward. They'll go with Leal to start, with Loudermilk and Benton coming off the bench to add depth. Benton will likely play across the defensive line in Week 2.

Both Johnson and Heyward were placed on Injured Reserve after their Week 1 injuries. Johnson (hamstring) is expected to miss roughly four games, while Heyward is looking at eight weeks or more after undergoing surgery on his groin.
