Steelers Have Trade Candidate, New Slot CB Option

The Pittsburgh Steelers still have moves to make this offseason.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are heading into the final stages of free agency and moving toward the NFL Draft. But before they finish up their signings, there may be one more name who makes too much sense for them not to add him.

The Steelers could look at a slot cornerback from Philadelphia to fill the last remaining starting spot on their defensive roster. Head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed at the NFL Meetings that the team still needs a slot cornerback right now, and maybe the answer is in free agency.

It won't be perfect, and the Steelers will need a backup plan after signing him, but it could be their next move.

After that, it's time to talk about a trade. One defensive tackle has been named a trade candidate for Pittsburgh, and after last season, it may be time the team moves on. What can they get for him and is it worth it? Those are the big questions this team will need to answer before making a move.

And finally, let's talk about Najee Harris. Are the Steelers picking up his fifth-year option? While it makes a ton of sense for them to, it doesn't feel like they will. Saquon Barkley is hoping we're wrong.
