While the Texans have a strong likelihood of improving upon their performance in 2023, the journey to the playoffs will be no small feat.

Per NFL researcher Ivan Urena, Houston will face seven games against 2023 playoff teams and 11 games against teams with a .500+ win percentage, in the Ravens, Cowboys, Packers, Dolphins, Lions, Bills, and Chiefs.

Fortunately for the Texans, four of those matchups - Baltimore, Buffalo, Miami and Detroit - all come at NRG Stadium, which bodes well for Houston's playoff hopes in 2024.

And according to ESPN, that future is bright.

Stroud's remarkable rookie season captured the attention of everyone in the league. Despite missing two games and facing challenges with injuries to key players in the wide receiver corps and offensive line, the Texans' quarterback threw for an impressive 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns, and just five interceptions, earning him widespread respect in league circles.

"Poise is so underrated in our league, especially at quarterback, and he clearly has it," an NFC executive told ESPN. "Throws the ball very well at all levels. Arrow definitely pointing up. And he's got talent around him."

Needless to say, it's going to be an exciting regular season for Texans fans.
