Texans BREAKING: Part-Owner Javier Loya Charged with Rape

Houston Texans minority owner Javier Loya faces multiple criminal charges that include one count of first-degree rape.

Houston Texans minority owner Javier Loya, an area businessman who has been involved with the Texans since 2002, faces multiple criminal charges that include one count of first-degree rape, five counts of first-degree sexual abuse, and one count of third-degree sexual abuse. 

PFT writes, “Based on public records posted online, the case is set for a pretrial conference on August 22.”

The date of the alleged incident is not yet known. PFT writes that the clerk of criminal courts in Jefferson County, Kentucky notes that the arrest warrant was issued on May 10, 2023.

Loya, the co-founder and CEO of OTC Global Holdings, LP, has been removed from his committee involvement with the NFL.

The NFL in a statement per PFT. “The club promptly notified the league of the serious pending charges against Mr. Loya after they were filed … Mr. Loya has not been permitted to participate in any league or club activity during this process. He is no longer on any league committees.”

The Texans are of course still trying to put behind them the Deshaun Watson scandal, with allegations of sexual abuse by dozens of women … all leading up to Watson’s 2022 trade to the Cleveland Browns.
