Houston Texans 'Excited About New Uniforms' Ahead of Release Party

The 2024 off-season will bring the reveal of the Houston Texans' new uniforms, which has the franchise "excited."

The Houston Texans will reveal their new uniforms at a release party on April 23. But new principal owner Cal McNair gave fans a preview of the new jerseys on March 18, which featured wide receivers Tank Dell and Nico Collins showcasing the new designs.

Texans Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications Doug Vosik played a significant role in Houston's new jerseys. And according to Brian Barefield of USA Today, Vosik says the franchise is "excited about the new uniforms."

"It is not just about me, it’s not about the team, it is not about the McNairs," Vosik said. "If you think about how the organization chose to do this, we had a choice, and we chose to make it a very fan- and media-inclusive process over the past year and a half. I think all of us, including the fans who were a part of it, are just excited and stoked and naturally curious where it is all going to go."

According to Texans TV Host Drew Dougherty, the Texans' new jerseys will commemorate H-Town Blue in each of the four uniforms, paying homage to the Houston Oilers.

The H-Town Blue has been linked to Houston since the Oilers became an NFL franchise in 1960 and spent over three decades as the city's original team. The colors and jerseys associated with the Texans will be a new look for the franchise. However, Dougherty added that the team's logo will not change.

The jerseys McNair revealed on Reddit displayed a modern look of the franchise's steel blue uniforms, which have been synonymous with the team since its conception in 2002.
