According to Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz, the Miami Dolphins have reached a one-year agreement to sign former Houston Texans defensive lineman Teair Tart. At 27 years old, Tart is expected to serve as a rotational player behind Benito Jones and Isaiah Mack, much like his role in Houston.

Last season, he split time between the Tennessee Titans and Texans, starting the first 11 games for the Titans before being waived.

Houston brought in Tart via waivers to fortify their defensive line, but his impact was limited to just two games, where he notched three tackles, two pressures, and a tackle for loss.

In his career, Tart has amassed 79 tackles, 2.5 sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery in 47 games.

The Texans have added plenty of depth to their defensive line this season, including perhaps their biggest free agent signing Danielle Hunter, as well as Denico Autry, Foley Fatukasi and Tim Settle in the interior.

That said, Houston also lost Jonathan Greenard, Sheldon Rankins and traded Maliek Collins throughout the offseason.

Fortunately for the Texans, despite not having a first-round pick, there will be plenty of talent left on the board when their first second-round pick comes on the clock at No. 42. Among the prospects who could be available are Texas' T'Vondre Sweat, who could be the big-bodied space eater that the Texans need to replace the loss of Rankins.

One way or another, however, the Texans will surely target some depth along the front, to help inject some youth and talent into the trenches.
