The Houston Texans have made a significant move to fortify their secondary by signing former New England Patriots cornerback Myles Bryant, according to reports from KPRC's Aaron Wilson.

At 26 years old, Bryant brings a blend of experience and versatility to the team, having appeared in 55 career games, with 17 starts under his belt.

Standing at 5-foot-9 and weighing 192 pounds, Bryant's collegiate career at the University of Washington saw him emerge as a standout, earning recognition as a three-time All-Pac 12 selection.

Despite going undrafted, Bryant became a regular part of the rotation for New England on both defense and special teams.

During the previous season, Bryant showcased his durability and importance to the Patriots' defense by playing in 75 percent of the team's defensive snaps. Throughout his career, he has amassed 200 tackles, two sacks, nine tackles for losses, four interceptions, 17 pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

His knack for making impactful plays, coupled with his adaptability, makes him a valuable addition to the Texans' roster. With Bryant's arrival, the Texans have added another significant piece to their secondary depth and provide competition within the cornerback group.

That said, while his role within the team's defensive scheme will be defined in time, finding a consistent role alongside Derek Stingley Jr., Jeff Okudah, Lonnie Johnson, Desmond King, and C.J. Henderson will be a challenge for Bryant.

Either way, Bryant's presence adds depth and experience to their defensive backfield and could prove to be a valuable addition going forward.
