The Houston Texans, along with nearly the entire NFL, are experiencing the inevitable ticket price increase... and this one is steep.

The Houston Texans' 2023 resale ticket prices are increasing again, along with nearly the entire NFL. And this increase is a steep one, meaning fans will have to cough up a few more bucks to see this year's team in action.

According to Touchdown WireTexans' average resale prices sat at $159 in 2022 and will increase to $216 in 2023 — that's a $57, or 36 percent, increase heading into this fall.

While tickets won't be as cheap as in years past, the saving grace is how relatively cheap Houston's tickets truly are. Only the Falcons, sitting at $196 in 2023, have lower resale prices for this season.

Elsewhere around the league, prices are alarming. The Kansas City Chiefs have the highest resale average in the league at $577, up by $206 from 2022 and over double the price of a Texans ticket.

In the AFC East, prices are all relatively close. The Indianapolis Colts tickets sit at $253 in 2023, the highest in the division and a 25% increase from last season.

The Tennessee Titans are just behind the lead at $247, up from the $218 average the team held last season. Then there's the interesting case of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The team's tickets were just $126 last season, but following a year in which the organization bounced back with a playoff victory... getting in the door in 2023 will be a different story.

Jacksonville's average for the fall is $242, a 92 percent increase from last year.

So while Houston's prices aren't low by any previous metric, the team will be plenty affordable when compared to the rest of the league.
