The Houston Texans welcome the Indianapolis Colts to NRG Stadium on Sunday. Both teams are still looking for a win after Week 1 losses, and both have young quarterbacks who are still learning the league.

Both quarterbacks are also good friends. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud and Colts' signal-caller Anthony Richardson will be putting aside their personal relationship when they take the field on Sunday. “I love C.J.,” Richardson said. “That’s my guy,” Stroud said. “I love him to death. I’m rooting for him and I hope that everything in his career goes well, except for when he plays the Texans,” Stroud added.

Both rookies are looking for their first career win after the Texans lost 25-9 to the Ravens in their home opener, and the Colts were beaten 31-21 by the Jaguars. Both quarterbacks looked good in their respective losses, however. Stroud went 28-for-44 with 242 yards and Richardson completed 24 of 37 passes for 223 yards with a touchdown and a rushing score.

Houston coach DeMeco Ryans - who himself is a rookie head coach - was impressed with Stroud's first outing. “It was a tough place to play, a tough opponent,” Ryans said. “A lot of things were stacked up against him, but I thought he handled himself well.”
