'Just Bizarre': Texans QB Prospect Will Levis Nosediving Down NFL Draft Boards?

The Houston Texans need a new young quarterback in 2023, but they might have newfound reasons to pass on QB Will Levis.

Kentucky Wildcats quarterback Will Levis has carried top-10 allure ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft, but as of late, he has been sliding down draft boards.

Should the Houston Texans have their antennas up as they comb through QB options ahead of Apr. 27?

This Week, Chad Forbes offered a notable take regarding Levis's pre-draft evaluations from teams on Twitter.

“Arrogance, entitlement. Plus… just bizarre," Forbes tweeted. “24 years old. Should be far ahead of guys that graduated from High School in the pandemic 25 months ago (Stroud / Richardson / Stroud)….”

Shortly after, Forbes continued to expand on the matter further, saying that Levis' issues run even deeper and that not only did he 'bomb' the pre-draft process, but even skipped practices and workouts.

"Will Levis has bombed the pre-draft process," said Forbes. “Endless Excuses for poor play. Skipped Bowl Game & Senior Bowl. Didn’t complete a full Combine workout. And you can’t cite injuries. ..."

This news - or opinion - comes with an insinuation that Levis may slide all the way to Day 2 of the NFL Draft.

The Texans have the No. 2 and No. 12 picks in the first round of the draft, and seem all but guaranteed to take a QB with their first selection of the night.

CJ Stroud and Bryce Young stand atop the QB rankings. And Levi’s? The question is how much this report is the view of a single media member or of multiple teams that might have Levis crossed off their lists.
