Titans NFL Draft Daily (Feb. 21): Analyst Charles Davis Discusses Tennessee's Needs at No. 7

NFL Network and CBS analyst Charles Davis talked about the biggest need for the Tennessee Titans to address in the upcoming NFL Draft. Like most experts and analysts, Davis believes the Titans need an offensive tackle with the overall No. 7 pick.

It doesn't always take an expert to figure out what a team needs in the NFL Draft. With the Tennessee Titans, it's pretty obvious that offensive tackle and wide receiver are the two positions that need attention this offseason. In case you needed reassurance, NFL Network and CBS analyst Charles Davis is ready with a confirmation.

Davis spoke with TennesseeTitans.com about myriad topics, including the recent hire of coach Brian Callahan, the work of general manager Ran Carthon and, of course, the Titans' upcoming draft needs.

Like the rest of us, Davis believes offensive line is the biggest concern for Tennessee entering the 2024 season. He expects the Titans will have plenty of options at left tackle.

"I haven't gotten that far yet, but when you are picking at No. 7, you need just about everything," Davis said, per TennesseeTitans.com. "I still think offensive line is a huge (need), and this is going to be a crazy offensive tackle draft. I've heard numbers like 10, 11 tackles going in the first round. Like that's how big of a draft it is.

"So, to me, the left tackle position is a glaring need for the Tennessee Titans. So, they might have their pick of multiple guys at No.7 – who do you like best out of the guys that remain?"

Although some experts project the Titans picking up a receiver with the No. 7 pick, a vast majority of draft analysts predict the team will select a left tackle, specifically Notre Dame's Joe Alt and Penn State's Olu Fashanu.

Oregon State offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga has also emerged as a possibility.

Next week, the Titans will get the chance to see some of the top prospects up close at the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. That event should help Tennessee narrow down its options.
