Titans NFL Draft Daily (Feb. 19): 5 Players Tabbed as Potential 1st-Round Fits For Tennessee

There are five popular players who have been mentioned as potential fits for the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft: Joe Alt, Olu Fashanu, Rome Odunze, Malik Nabers, and Taliese Fuaga. Who will the Titans pick at No. 7?

Not everyone in the world of mock drafts is in agreement about who the Tennessee Titans will select with their first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Offensive tackles Joe Alt (Notre Dame) and Olu Fashanu (Penn State) are the favorites to land in Nashville at No. 7, but as many has five different players have been projected as first-round picks for the Titans. In all of those mock drafts, Tennessee is expected to select either left tackle or wide receiver.

Here are the five names that have been mentioned, per TennesseeTitans.com:

Joe Alt, Notre Dame

  • Position: Offensive tackle
  • PFF rank: No. 6
  • Quick thought: Alt has been, without question, the most popular name among mock drafts for the Titans at No. 7. The All-American from Notre Dame is a player who can immediately step into the left tackle spot and make an impact. The only question? Will another team see Alt's value and grab him before Tennessee gets the opportunity.

Olu Fashanu, Penn State

  • Position: Offensive tackle
  • PFF rank: No. 10
  • Quick thought: If Alt isn't available, Fashanu has been the guy considered next in line for the Titans. He's another left tackle who can quickly win the starting job in Nashville. This is a "1a-1b" situation. If Tennessee wants an offensive tackle and Alt is off the board, then Fashanu is the pick.

Rome Odunze, Washington

  • Position: Wide receiver
  • PFF rank: No. 8
  • Quick thought: The Titans also need a wide receiver. Because of the concerns at left tackle, most pundits believe the organization will wait until a later round to add a playmaker. If Tennessee changes course, though, Odunze has been the most popular name. The former Washington receiver can be a high-volume receiver and would make an excellent running mate to DeAndre Hopkins.

Malik Nabers, LSU

  • Position: Wide receiver
  • PFF rank: No. 4
  • Quick thought: It is very, very unlikely that Tennessee will have the opportunity to take Nabers with the No. 7 pick, but anything is possible in the NFL Draft, right? The LSU receiver can serve as a deep threat for Will Levis in the passing game, but this one feels like a long shot.

Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State

  • Position: Offensive tackle
  • PFF rank: No. 11
  • Quick thought: Fuaga isn't a name associated with Tennessee much, but it doesn't mean he's out of the running. The Oregon State product has gained traction since the Reese's Senior Bowl and could potentially be in the mix with Alt and Fashanu as one of the best offensive tackles in the draft class. If he has a strong showing at the NFL Scouting Combine, he might become a legitimate option at No. 7.
  • COLT ANDERSON TO COACH SPECIAL TEAMS: New Titans coach Brian Callahan reportedly found his special teams coordinator. According to an NFL Network report, the Titans are hiring Colt Anderson to lead the special teams unit. CLICK HERE
  • REIMAGINING THE TITANS O-LINE: The NFL offseason is a time of hope for many teams. The Tennessee Titans struggled with their offensive line last season, but they are optimistic about potential improvements under their new offensive line coach, Bill Callahan.
