Cristiano Ronaldo, Georgina Rodriguez Show Off Rings After Surprise Wedding

The world-famous soccer star and fiancee got married after a year-long engagement.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the most-followed professional athlete on Instagram.

His 678 million followers are over 150 million more than the next-closest athlete, Lionel Messi, who has a whopping 515 million IG followers.

Those nearly 700 million fans got quite the surprise on Tuesday when Ronaldo posted something about his personal life with fiancee Georgina Rodriguez that seemingly came out of left field.

Ronaldo quietly posted a photo of his hand on top of fiancée Georgina Rodriguez’s with the caption: “C❤️G.”

The couple is sporting matching gold wedding bands, and it appears Rodriguez, who’s wearing her massive engagement ring — which Page Six estimates is more than 30 carats and is valued between $2 million-$5 million — on her opposite hand, is wearing an all-white outfit.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez met back in 2016 when she was a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid. The couple made their relationship official when she accompanied the world-famous soccer star and his oldest son to the Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony in Zurich back in January 2017.

After a decade together and four kids (two via surrogate), the couple finally tied the knot just weeks after Portugal’s World Cup exit in the Round of 16. The wedding took place on Aug. 11, one year to the day that the couple announced their engagement.

Minor Details Emerge About Ronaldo-Rodriguez Wedding

The ceremony took place in Cascais, a town located in western Portugal near the capital, Lisbon, according to a press release.

“The ceremony was a ‘private and intimate moment’ attended by their five children,” People.com reported.

The newlyweds already have a pretty big family. They have five children — son Cristiano Jr., 16, whom Ronaldo had from a previous relationship, plus twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 9, daughter Alana, 8, and daughter Bella, 4.

Ronaldo announced back in April 2022 that Angel, Bella’s newborn twin brother had unexpectedly passed away.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram. “Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”
