McLaren have caused chaos with their recent social media post with F1 fans reading a bit too much into McLaren's it, fearing the worst for the Lando Norris

Taking to Instagram, the Woking-based team wrote:

"It won't be quite the same without you there, @landonorris"

Some fans very quickly went from zero to one hundred, thinking the worst about the  Belgian-British driver. One fan commented:

"Mate, when you write these captions, please elaborate the context."

Someone else wrote:

"You okes scared me for a sec, thought he left the team" [sic]

As worried comments starting flooding in, someone else responded:

"For anyone, who is scared!!! He is just not attending to the BRITs Awards. He is not dead or injured and he didnt fell out with McLaren or something." [sic]

Here is a round-up of some of the reactions:

"y’all cannot just post this and not expect everyone to assume the worst"
"Admin don’t do us like this. My heart felt out of my chest for a second!"
"Can someone plz tell me wtf is going is lando dead or did something happen to him. McLaren elaborate on your captions" [sic]
"My heart dropped, I thought he died for a minute"

Thankfully, Norris is absolutely fine and it was as simple as he was not able to attend the Brit Awards over the weekend.

The team are set to reveal the MCL60 during an event at 5pm (GMT) today which will be streamed on YouTube. It is expected the Norris will feature at the unveiling alongside his new teammate Oscar Piastri and new team principal Andrea Stella.

McLaren have already shared some sneak peek images of the MCL60 ahead of the official launch and fans are counting down the hours until the teams 2023 contender is revealed.
