Williams have unveiled the FW45 livery during their launch event today, as well as confirming Gulf as a new team partner.

Fans have been quick to give their opinions on the partnership and new matte livery which features a blue and black design with red accents.

One fan commented on the launch event as a whole, after the Red Bull RB19 reveal in New York on Friday left fans becoming impatient and red faced after making them wait for coming up to an hour for the livery to be almost identical to the 2022 car. They wrote:

"Now that’s how you do a car launch. 20 minutes, decent presenter and we saw the car. Bosh. Love it"

Another fan commented:

"It’s good, but it had the potential to be great. Look forward to see GULF working with not only f1, but the junior categories and esports! This is big step"

Someone else picked up on the design of the air intake which has the Duracell logo on so the team have designed it to look like a Duracell battery. Another aspect they complimented was the design on the wheel covers, which McLaren did last year with the Google Chrome colour scheme. They said:

"The Duracell air intake and the @McLarenF1 Google Chrome wheel covers are two amazing marketing integrations"A

Another fan commented:

"It looks great! Superb sponsor backing as well. Great to see Gulf partnering with @WilliamsEsports and supporting simracing" [sic]

Someone else was hoping for more of a change in the livery, they commented:

"Not bad, but I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed as I would have expected a bigger change compared to last year..."
"Looks excellent - like the Duracell touch. Kudos for a swift presentation"
"The looks may be the same but the performance could be surprisingly better than last year"
