F1 Fans Refuse To Watch Drive to Survive As It Begins With 2021 Abu Dhabi Drama

Netflix have released the fifth season of Drive to Survive today and fans have been left unhappy with the production team deciding to start with the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix controversy.
Fans have taken to social media to express their anger over the series starting with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix where Max Verstappen took his first championship win. The moment is one of the most controversial moments in the sports history which ended with then-race director Michael Masi stepping down from his role.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix proved to be a pivotal moment for the sport, as Masi's decision to instruct only the cars between Lewis Hamilton and Verstappen to un-lap themselves had a significant impact. Verstappen took advantage of this and claimed the victory, securing his first championship title, while Hamilton was left devastated by the loss of his chance for an eighth world championship due to a breach of the rules.
One disgruntled fan posted to Twitter:

Another upset F1 fan responded:
"Didn't watch last year's I couldn't put myself through AD, guess I'll have to skip a load of the first episode this season. No other sport glorifies manipulation and cheating like F1"

"If that’s the case I’m not watching it. I’ve never watched that last episode with AD and don’t ever intend to. #DTS is dead now! The whole thing has ruined F1 #DriveToSurvive5"
