F1 Legend Joins NASCAR: From Silverstone To Circuit of the Americas

NASCAR fans are in for a treat as Jenson Button, the 2009 F1 world champion, gears up for his much-anticipated debut at the Circuit of the Americas. And, as if that wasn't exciting enough, he'll be supported by none other than Stewart-Haas Racing.
Chase Briscoe has been tasked to be Button's teammate, which the #14 Mustang driver is extremely excited about. In a recent interview, Briscoe shared his admiration for Button and expressed his eagerness to learn from the F1 champion.
Button will be driving the #15 Rick Ware Racing Ford Mustang, and his debut is already making waves in the NASCAR community. Meanwhile, Kimi Raikkonen, the 2007 F1 champion, will be joining the grid and driving PROJECT91's Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Trackhouse Racing.
Briscoe shared that he considers it a "really cool" linkup with Button and is determined to make the most of this opportunity to learn from one of the best in the sport. With Button's impressive credentials and Briscoe's talent and dedication, fans are expecting a thrilling and unforgettable race.
As the NASCAR community eagerly awaits the Circuit of the Americas event, it's clear that Button's debut and the rest of the lineup have the potential to deliver an action-packed and thrilling race that fans won't forget any time soon.
Briscoe explained during an interview with the NASCAR Wire Service:
“Truthfully, I think on the road course side, he’s going to be able to bring a lot to the table.
"Last year, I kind of did that in a driver swap with (Haas F1 drivers) Mick Schumacher and Kevin Magnussen.
"They only ran like five laps apiece at the (Charlotte) Roval. They were within a second of what I was running at pretty much 100 per cent.
“So, those guys are such unbelievable road racers that Jenson is going to bring a lot to the table just as far as things to look for and maximise.
"I’m really excited for that side of it and the opportunity because it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Briscoe continued:
“Growing up in a town of 3,000 people and one stop light, I would have never thought in a million years I’d race against an F1 guy, let alone two of them in one race - even be teammates with an F1 world champion.
“It’s going to be really cool for me to get to experience that, get to know Jenson, and just see how he prepares."
