Mercedes Upgrades
Mercedes have come out swinging with refinements as they attempt to minimise the performance gap between themselves and Red Bull. They've introduced modifications to the W14’s sidepod inlets. They've also unrolled a new floor edge and beam wing. Their sidepod inlets have been revised, coupled with an inboard mirror stay that’s been de-chambered, all tailored to optimize airflow to the new wing and rear end.
Aston Martin Upgrades
Starting the championship with the second-fastest car of the grid, Aston Martin has since witnessed a shift in their race performance. Now, seeing a drop in their pace compared to the likes of Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren, they're only just managing to maintain third position in the Constructors’ Championship, lagging 51 points behind Mercedes.
The AMR23 showcases a fresh floor, floor fences, and edges, which aim to hone local flow details and amplify the floor's load. In conjunction with these, a revamped diffuser and floor are set to enhance the flow further. 2-time champion Fernando Alonso weighed in on this evolution, expressing hope for the car's future performances.
“I think in Canada we brought some new parts as well, and Silverstone and now these new aerodynamic parts that we bringhere, hopefully, add the performance we expect.”
He hopes he returns to the podium this weekend.
Red Bull Upgrades
Red Bull, the current Championship leaders, are focusing their engineering on the beam wing of the RB19, which is a pivotal part of their race-winning DRS setup.
McLaren Upgrades
McLaren has geared up for the Dutch Grand Prix by introducing a new rear and beam wing to their car. This track will require high downforce, so this will be, in part, an implementation of that and therefore track-specific for the most part.
AlphaTauri Upgrades
Not one to be left behind, AlphaTauri has made subtle yet potentially impactful changes by revising their rear wing endplate, aiming for optimised aerodynamic performance.
Haas Upgrades
Haas has revealed a number of upgrades, hoping that their comprehensive upgrades will address their persistent tyre issues. With a brand new front wing, nose, and rear corner brake cooling ducts, the team is betting big on their redesigned car. Elaborating on their focus, they revealed:
“The nose tip, that in our car is merging into the second forward wing element, is part of the wing leading edge.
"The work is focused on the best compromise between the nose geometry and the wing profile itself.”
Teams With No Upgrades
Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, and Williams have chosen not to unveil any upgrades for the Dutch Grand Prix.
