Marko has been with the Red Bull team since its inception in 2005 and he revealed in an interview with Motorsport-Magazin.com that he is not looking to retire anytime soon so a contract extension is highly likely. He explained that as long as he is physically and mentally able to take on the work then he will continue to do so:

"As long as I am mentally and physically fit, and I am fascinated and enthusiastic about the sport, and as long as the responsibilities I have give me the chance to continue here, I will. I don't feel like an old man who can't keep up. As long as I can make a positive contribution, that's what matters."

The Austrian former racing driver was instrumental of the signing of recently retired Sebastian Vettel who won his four consecutive championships with the team and current championship leader Max Verstappen who is on his way to secure his third championship title, as well as many other famous faces.

He has also overseen the Red Bull driver development programme since 1999 which has seen the growth of Carlos Sainz, Daniel Ricciardo, and Pierre Gasly as well as Vettel and Verstappen.

Despite Marko being 80-years-old he clearly has no intentions of retiring anytime soon.
