Sergio Perez has taken the win at the Azerbaijan Sprint Race ahead of the grand prix tomorrow. 

Baku has hosted the first sprint race of the season and the first sprint race with the new format with the sprint shootout this morning. 

Charles Leclerc started in pole position followed by Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen in second and third, respectively. 

American driver Logan Sargeant, unfortunately, had to miss the sprint race due to damage he suffered from his crash during the sprint shootout this morning. 

A reminder of the new sprint race format, the results of the sprint race do not change the line-up for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix tomorrow, for which Leclerc will be starting in pole position.
