The Washington Commanders suffered a massive blow during the team’s Week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, as star quarterback Jayden Daniels went down with an apparent elbow injury. The Commanders have dealt with injuries throughout the season, including in the receiving corps, as Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel have each missed time so far this season.

Daniels unsurprisingly will not make the team’s Week 11 trip to Spain, where they’ll take on the Miami Dolphins, but Terry McLaurin will. The veteran wideout will go on the road with the team, despite being ruled out for Week 11. The star wideout will miss his third consecutive game,

McLaurin returned to the team on Oct. 27 for a matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs, but reaggravated his lingering quad injury. The Pro Bowler will miss his seventh game of the season entering the team’s Week 12 bye. The team is hopeful McLaurin will be available for a Week 13 return, as the team hosts the Denver Broncos.

The Ohio State product has suited up in four games so far this season, catching 13 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown over 21 targets.

In the quarterback room, Daniels will not be placed on Injured Reserve despite a dislocated elbow, as the team remains optimistic he’ll manage a return in four games or less. The star quarterback has dealt with nagging injuries for much of the season to this point, including previous knee and hamstring issues. Here is a fantasy outlook on the remainder of Washington’s offense entering Week 11:

Samuel has emerged as the team’s top pass-catcher during McLaurin’s extended absence. Entering Sunday’s game versus Miami, Samuel leads the Commanders’ offense with 46 catches for 396 yards and four touchdowns. On the ground, he’s added 10 carries for 49 yards.

Behind Samuel, veteran tight end Zach Ertz has provided the pass-catching group with valuable production, hauling in 35 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns through the air. From a fantasy perspective, Samuel enters Week 11 ranked as WR21 among PPR leagues, coming off a 12.9-point performance versus the Lions. Ertz ranks among the top-10 tight ends in fantasy, averaging 9.6 points per week.

The Commanders offense has faced its share of struggles with Daniels sidelined, but Ertz and Samuel each remain quality pass-catching options in fantasy.

In the backfield, Chris Rodriguez Jr. and rookie back Jacory Croskey-Merritt have split carries over recent weeks. Merritt leads the offense with 470 rushing yards over 105 carries so far this season.
