Carlos Alcaraz Beats Tommy Paul to Make Olympics History

Carlos Alcaraz is known for starting slow and finishing strong. Today, his match against Tommy Paul in the Olmypic quarterfinals was no different. Alcaraz came from 5-2 down in the second set to win the match in straight sets: 6-3, 7-6(7).
Alcaraz has now won 11 consecutive singles matches (including 11 at Roland Garros as well). More importantly, he made Olympics history. Alcaraz became the youngest man to reach the Olympic semifinals since Novak Djokovic in 2008.
Alcaraz admitted that fatigue was an issue during Today's match. He said, "Today I was tired. But playing so Spain is the biggest thing. Every time I felt tired I remembered that I'm not playing just for me but for all my people back in Spain."

In addition to playing in the men's singles tournament, Alcaraz played alongside Rafael Nadal in the men's doubles tournament before the dynamic duo was eliminated on Wednesday.
Alcaraz already made history this year when he became the sixth man in the Open Era to win the French Open and Wimbledon. Can the 21-year-old extend his hot streak to win the Olympics? We will find out soon.
