Three-year letterwinner Camille Presley officially joins Texas volleyball for the 2026 season after her academic paperwork was finalized Monday.

Standing at 6-foot-2, the middle blocker is making her way to the Forty Acres after leading Austin High School to the 2025 UIL Class 6A Division II State Championship match. The Maroons lost the championship match to Southlake Carroll in a five-set nail-biter.

The news, announced by Texas Athletics early Monday morning, made Presley available for Texas' first scrimmage against Minnesota.

Game statistics were not made available from the afternoon match.

Thomas Jones of the Austin American-Statesman was the first to report on the transfer after securing verification from Austin High School's head volleyball coach, Kiley Woods, on July 27.

As a junior at Austin High School, Presley recorded 261 kills, 107 blocks and 97 digs, boosting her team to become one of the most respected volleyball programs in the state of Texas.

Presley, although ending her high school career early, still clocked 620 career kills, 696 total points, 200 digs and 166 service aces.

Going into the 2026 season, fans were beginning to feel antsy about the middle blocker position. Before Presley and newly announced dual-sport athlete Mackenzie Collins, the Longhorns only possessed two middle blockers on the roster. Now, supporters of Texas are able to breathe a sigh of relief with more depth in the position.

"We knew we were going to be able to get Camille (Presley)," head coach Jerritt Elliott said after the Minnesota scrimmage. "(It was a) nice surprise with Mackenzie (Collins) coming in to be able to play for us... I feel really good about my middle block four."

Presley announced her commitment to the University of Texas on June 18, 2025, in an Instagram post.

"I am incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career as a longhorn at the University of Texas!" Presley wrote in the caption of her commitment post. "A HUGE thank you to Coach Elliot, Coach Hunt, Coach Josephson, and Coach Canter for giving me this opportunity to be apart of something special and making my dreams come true. Hook ‘em!"

Texas will wrap up preseason play with an exhibition match against Rice. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT at Gregory Gymnasium in Austin, Texas.
