Angel Reese's Record Breaking Sky Press Conference Turned Awkward

Angel Reese set the record for consecutive double-doubles in WNBA history. So it's safe to say the Chicago Sky star's rookie season has started off with a bang. But it was 'The Big Bang Theory' that interrupted her moment on the podium.
Super weird moment during the #ChicagoSky postgame presser.

A reporter was asking Angel Reese a question when another conversation about an "intimate relationship" being had (presumably from another reporter's Zoom) commandeered the audio.

Reese was fielding questions following the team's loss to the Seattle Storm alongside head coach Teresa Weatherspoon and teammate Marina Mabrey when a question about her record breaking achievement turned intimate. A voice was heard saying, “Are we going to have an intimate relationship?” and Angel was understandably caught off guard.

Reese even joked about someone getting fired as the reporter was asked to repeat the question due to the awkward interruption. There was apparently a technical issue that projected a feed of the hit television show into the presser, which may have been enough to create some future Angel Reese memes.
Of course it did come as Reese made history. Angel recorded her 13th-straight double-double passing the previous high mark of 12 set by Candace Parker, who she praised when the questions that came through were actually understandable.

“She's the GOAT. I've always respected CP3. Being able to be named with such an amazing player is always going to be special to me."#WNBA pic.twitter.com/1AWzmXRi39
Reese called Parker the GOAT and talked about what it meant to her to be mentioned alongside the former great. "Being able to be named with an amazing player like that is always going to be special to me."
There's certainly a chance a future player will one day express similar sentiments about the current Sky rookie, given her career has started off with a double-double's worth of WNBA history.
