Xavi looks back to his Barça debut

On 18 August 1998, Xavi Hernández made his debut for FC Barcelona’s first team. The midfielder scored as Barça lost 2-1 at RCD Mallorca in the Spanish Super Cup. Xavi remembers that he was on holiday when he was called up to join Van Gaal’s first team and thought it was a joke.
