Jenson Seelt a 'really good signing for Sunderland,' says Mike Dodds

Interim boss Mike Dodds has hailed Jenson Seelt as ‘a really good signing’ for Sunderland after his impressive showing against Leeds.
Seelt was a surprise inclusion on the teamsheet for the visit of Daniel Farke’s men, slotting in as the right-sided centre back in a back three.
It was the third position he has played for Sunderland already – the others being right-back and central midfield – and he gave an incredibly impressive display.
That, though, came as little surprise to Dodds, who believes the £2million that Sunderland paid to get Seelt from PSV last summer will prove to be a very shrewd investment.
“Jenson is a really, really good footballer and a really good signing for this football club,” Dodds said.
“Like the majority of our signings, we're trying to ensure that there's a high ceiling for them. So that they either propel us to where we want to be, or we can sell them for a significant profit and reinvest the money back into the football club.
"Jenson is certainly one of them - he's had to be a little bit more patient for his opportunity but what I like about him is that he's really, really receptive.
“He wants to get better, and although he hasn't played a lot of minutes his attitude and application has been first class. For someone in my position, that's all you can ever ask."
Seelt did have to leave the action on Tuesday night after appearing to overstretch in a sliding challenge.
However, despite immediately clutching his hamstring, he himself has said there is no major issue.
"It’s nothing,” he said. “It was just a little bit of tension, a bit of cramp. It won’t be a big problem."
