After a stunning 2022/23 season in the Championship, Sunderland look to be gearing up for an exciting summer transfer window.

Sunderland have certainly set a high bar for themselves after their 6th place finish in the 2022/23 campaign.

And with their impressive season comes Premier League interest in their equally as impressive players, which has already began as we move into the summer transfer window.

The most recent Sunderland name in transfer headlines is Jack Clarke. Both Crystal Palace and Brentford have been linked with a summer move for the 22-year-old, but Sunderland are hoping to tie down fresh terms with the youngster this summer, as first revealed by Sunderland Nation.

Another name who could be on Premier League radars this summer is Anthony Patterson. The young shot-stopper was being closely linked with Leicester City earlier in the year, but with the Foxes facing relegation, that move has gone somewhat quiet.

Elsewhere, another Sunderland academy product in Dan Neil could be on top flight radars this summer. The midfielder has shone once again for Sunderland, having had Premier League suitors in the past - there's nothing recent suggesting that Neil is wanted in the Premier League though.

Earlier in the season, defender Dennis Cirkin was being linked with a shock return to Tottenham Hotspur, with Brentford also mentioned alongside the 21-year-old. But with Cirkin having spent a lot of time on the sidelines in the final stages of the season, it could see that previous interest put on the back-burner.

Dan Ballard is another name who might garner interest. He was only signed last summer but his quality and potential is there for all to see. And lastly, Ross Stewart's links to the Premier League always seem to be lingering.

Despite spending the bulk of this season on the sidelines, Stewart managed to show his quality when fit, scoring 10 goals in 13 league outings for the Black Cats. He's been linked with a number of Premier League teams in the past, Championship sides too, and with his contract situation still unclear, there's no guarantee that Stewart doesn't leave this summer.
