Michai Boireau Re-Commits to The University of Florida

Creekside High School's 2024 defensive tackle, Michai Boireau, has re-committed to the University of Florida.

Billy Napier and the Florida Gators are celebrating their version of a win today when they heard the news about the big defensive tackle, Michai Boireau. The 6' 5", 390 lb DT was initially committed to the Gators on June 19th this summer but de-committed from them just a few months later on September 11th. 

Boireau took a visit to the University of Georgia the following week on September 16th, and there was speculation that he would flip his commitment to Georgia following that visit. Today, he re-commits to the University of Florida, announcing his decision on X. 

The early signing day is approaching us very rapidly, with the period starting on December 20th. Kirby Smart and his staff are looking to land one more recruit to their ledger in case there was a flip from one of their current commits during the early signing period, which will end on December 23rd. 

The 3-star defensive lineman, who is the 81st-ranked recruit in Georgia, helps keep Billy Napier's 2024 recruiting class as the fourth-highest-rated recruiting class in the country. 

This isn't what Smart and Trey Scott are focused on today, though, as they are looking to clinch their first SEC Championship over the Alabama Crimson Tide. The game will kick off at 4 p.m. and will be the final SEC game to be aired on CBS.
