Nebraska vs. Iowa Prediction for Today's Big Ten Women's Championship

I’ll start my Nebraska vs. Iowa picks with a brief game preview. The Cornhuskers entered the Big Ten Tournament as the fifth seed but managed wins over Purdue, Michigan State and Maryland to reach the Championship game. They sport a 22-10 record overall and have gone 11-7 in conference play.

As for the Hawkeyes, it may come as a surprise, but they’re only the two-seed in this bracket (Ohio State was number one). They’ve taken care of business quite easily thus far, defeating Penn State and Michigan each by 27+ points. They carry a 28-4 record overall, having gone 15-3 in conference play.

Nebraska vs. Iowa Picks & Best Bets Featuring Hawkeyes -16

The Hawkeyes are no stranger to this big game at all. This is now their fifth trip to the Big Ten Championship Game in the last six years, while they’ll be looking to win their third consecutive title. It’s very clear they’ll have the experience in this one, but it’s also worth pointing out that these two teams split the season series.

Still, Iowa will have the best player on the court at all times, just as they usually do, in Caitlin Clark. She played tremendously even in that one loss to the Cornhuskers earlier in the season, but Iowa as a team had just four bench points the whole game. They’ve averaged 19 bench points through their two conference tournament games, so it’d be a surprise to see them perform so poorly against Nebraska again.

At the end of the day, can anyone really bet against Caitlin Clark? She can turn a single-digit deficit into a double-digit lead in a blip, not only thanks to her shooting but her spectacular passing ability as well. She leads the country in both points per game and assists per game, and she shines when the lights are brightest. I expect the Hawkeyes to roll today and am taking Iowa -16 (-110 at FanDuel) in my Nebraska vs. Iowa prediction.

Molly Davis Injury Update

Hawkeye guard Molly Davis suffered a right knee injury in the Big Ten regular season finale against Ohio State. She and the team were happy to report that the injury was not season-ending, but she still has yet to see the court throughout this conference tournament.

It’ll be interesting to see if she’ll go in this one, or if they’d prefer her to rest up for the NCAA Tournament.
