Badgers Release 2024 Football Schedule, Future Big Ten Opponents

The Wisconsin Badgers know their path to a potential bid in the 2024 Big Ten title game won't be an easy one.

The Wisconsin Badgers know their football opponents for the next five seasons as the Big Ten Conference prepares for a new world with 18 members starting in 2024.

More pressingly, the Badgers’ 2024 football schedule is complete.

The league will take in four members of the Pac-12 Conference next football season — USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington.

The Huskies are preparing for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against Michigan on Monday.

The Badgers won’t play either Michigan or Washington next season.

The Big Ten is doing away with divisions next season and has built a five-year schedule based on annual travel, historic competitiveness and 12 protected matchups. The Badgers have two protected matchups against Iowa and Minnesota.

Wisconsin will open Big Ten play in Los Angeles against USC on Sept. 28, followed by its home opener against Purdue on Oct. 5.

The Badgers are on the road for their next two league games against Rutgers on Oct. 12 and Northwestern on Oct. 19. The Badgers end October at home against Penn State on Oct. 26.

In November, the Badgers are at Iowa on Nov. 2, at home against Oregon on Nov. 16, at Nebraska on Nov. 23 and at home against Minnesota on Nov. 30.

Should the Badgers finish among the Top 2 teams in the Big Ten, they would play in the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis on Dec. 7.

The Badgers open the 2024 season with three straight non-conference games at home — against Western Michigan on Aug. 31, against South Dakota on Sept. 7 and against Alabama on Sept. 14.

The Badgers are coming off a 7-6 season under coach Luke Fickell.
