A new episode of 'The Payoff Pitch' podcast is out!

The product, through Fastball and FanNation, comes out each Wednesday by 6 AM and features interviews and content from some of the most insightful and interesting people around baseball.

This week, our own Brady Farkas sat down with Gary Sheffield Jr.

Sheffield Jr. is a media personality, having previously worked for "Outkick" and having done some podcast work centered around the Yankees. He also played college baseball.

In the interview they talk about:

1) His media career and the exciting ventures that are coming next.

2) The Yankees decision to DFA Aaron Hicks and how fans view a team's expenses, team building and how aggressive teams should be in spending.

3) His own baseball career, including a scary incident that impacted his ability to play Division 1.

4) His father's legacy and quest for the Baseball Hall of Fame. Sheffield Sr. is part of the 500-home run club. They talk about maybe why he's not in Cooperstown yet.

5) Stories from growing up around a major league clubhouse and why he became a Yankees fan.
