The newest edition of 'The Payoff Pitch' podcast is HERE!

The newest offering from Fastball on Fannation is hosted by Brady Farkas and tackles all the biggest stories in baseball.

In this week's episode, Brady discusses more possible rule changes for baseball. Yesterday, we learned that baseball is experimenting with more changes at the Atlantic League level including a "courtesy pinch-runner" rule, a "single-disengagement rule" and a "double-hook DH" rule.

Brady explains what these rules mean and discusses why he thinks they are unnecessary.

He also discusses the promotion of Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto. Neto is the first player from the 2022 draft class to get brought up to the majors but he played in only 44 minor league games. Brady says the Angels are acting desperate and not doing the best thing for the player.

Then, he talks with San Diego Padres Triple-A broadcaster Tim Hagerty. Hagerty, who has been in El Paso for more than a decade, talks about seeing Fernando Tatis Jr. play on his way back to the majors from a PED suspension. They talk about his demeanor, his attitude towards playing the outfield, how he'll be welcomed back to baseball and more.

And finally, Brady talks about the Colorado Rockies, and why he thinks they are the most irrelevant franchise in the sport right now. Not the worst team -- the most irrelevant franchise. It didn't used to be that way, so what happened?
