The Baltimore Orioles are off to a 2-2 start entering play on Tuesday night against the Texas Rangers. After winning a surprising 83 games in 2022, the Orioles are playoff hopefuls in 2023 behind one of the most exciting young cores in all of baseball.

Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson have a chance to be one of the top young duos in baseball this season, and for several seasons to come. Rutschman went 5-5 on Opening Day with a home run and Henderson is the betting favorite to win American League Rookie of the Year this season, and ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney recently echoed those sentiments.

On this week's edition of "The Payoff Pitch" podcast, Orioles television broadcaster Kevin Brown joined the show to talk about his own rise in broadcasting, the excitement level around the O's stars and more, including some possible new broadcasting segment ideas.

You can watch the full interview HERE:

On Rutschman: Brown says he has a chance to be a generational player and lauded his ability to hit from both sides of the plate and his work defensively.

On Henderson: Brown says he could be an excellent defensive shortstop and talked about his positional alignments early in the season.

There's much more in the interview, so give it a listen to here Brown also talk about ballpark food rankings, his Bill Walton impression and much more.
