Players have reported to spring training, and spring training games will start being played later this week.

The Minnesota Twins will play their first Grapefruit League spring training games Sat., Feb. 25. The Twins will play a pair of split squad games, with half of their team playing the Tampa Bay Rays in at 12:05 p.m. ET at the Twins' spring training home at Lee County Sports Complex in Fort Myers, Florida and the other half playing the Baltimore Orioles at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida at 12:05 p.m. ET.

The Twins will play an exhibition game against Team Dominican Republic Thu., Mar. 9 in the lead-up to the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

11 of the Twins' spring training games will be televised on Bally Sports North. The Twins could potentially have other games televised on ESPN, MLB Network and other local networks as well.

The Twins had a very active offseason, signing free agents Christian Vazquez and Joey Gallo, re-signing Carlos Correa, and trading away Luis Arraez for Pablo Lopez and prospects.

Correa signed a six-year, $200 million contract with the Twins, after he initially agreed to long-term contracts with the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants. Both contracts fell apart after he took his physical for both clubs.

The Twins won 78 games in 2022 and have not made the playoffs since 2020. The club hopes to return to the postseason in 2023.
