INDIANAPOLIS — Quenton Jackson is signing a two-way contract with the Indiana Pacers, a league source confirmed to AllPacers. Shams Charania of The Athletic was the first to report the transaction.

Jackson is a taller guard who is in his second professional season. He spent much of his rookie year in the Washington Wizards organization, where he was in both the G League and the NBA. He played in nine games for the Wizards, where he averaged 6.2 points and 1.7 assists per game.

His NBA debut fittingly came against the Pacers in February of 2023. He had 19 points and five assists in Washington's season finale against the Houston Rockets, his third double-digit scoring game.

This season, Jackson played for the Chicago Bulls during the preseason, and he averaged five points per game in three outings. He didn't end up making the Bulls roster, though, and has spent the campaign with Chicago's G League team, the Windy City Bulls.

With Windy City, Jackson averaged 16 points and 5.8 assists per game in 38 outings. While his long-range shooting dipped from his rookie season, his all-around game has improved.

Jackson had a pre-draft workout with the Pacers in June of 2022. "I think it went well," he said at the time. The 25-year old ended up going undrafted before landing in Washington.

Jackon's new two-way deal is for one year, a league source told AllPacers. He will be permitted to split time between the Pacers and their G League affiliate team, the Indiana Mad Ants. The rules of two-way contracts permit that Jackson can be active for 12 of the Pacers 20 remaining games.

Indiana had an open two-way slot because they recently signed Kendall Brown to a three-year contract, which AllPacers reported on yesterday. Brown was previously on a two-way deal himself but filled the Pacers final open roster spot.

March 4 is the last day for teams to sign players to two-way contracts, so Indiana had to use that slot before the day ended. They chose to bring in Jackson, who was having a nice season in the Bulls organization.

The Pacers roster is now full. Once the Jackson signing is official, they will have 15 players on standard contracts and three youngsters on two-way deals.
