Indiana Pacers vs San Antonio Spurs preview: Start time, where to watch, injury report, betting odds March 3

The Pacers battle Victor Wembanyama tonight

The Indiana Pacers continue their current road trip tonight as they take on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. It's the second meeting between the two teams this season — Indiana defeated San Antonio in early November.

That night, the Pacers were sensational offensively, and Obi Toppin was great at defending Wembanyama. Now, the French phenom plays center instead of power forward, and he is a matchup nightmare. The Pacers, who were crushed in their most recent game, will hope to slow him down.

This is the Pacers first game against the Spurs since the two teams made a trade in February involving Doug McDermott.

Pacers vs Spurs Injury Report

For the Pacers, Doug McDermott is out with a right calf strain. Ben Sheppard is questionable with an illness. Kendall Brown, Oscar Tshiebwe, and Isaiah Wong are questionable due to their status on a two-way contract.

For the Spurs, Charles Bassey and Julian Champagnie are out.

Key Matchup

Aaron Nesmith vs Devin Vassell: Vassell is the Spurs best shooter and often their best offensive player, though Wembanyama's recent ascent says otherwise. Either way, the fourth-year Spurs wing is a terrific player on both ends.

Nesmith will be opposite the 19-point averaging scorer. Nesmith returned from injury on Friday, and he is an emerging three-and-D wing. If he can keep up with Vassell, the Pacers will have a great chance to win.
