Bills OL Helps Stranded Motorist in Snowstorm While Teammate Records Video

The Buffalo Bills’ wild-card game scheduled for Sunday vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers was moved to Monday due to a winter snowstorm in New York, but that didn’t stop a pair of Bills teammates from helping residents in the area.

Offensive lineman Ryan Van Demark shared a video on his Instagram story of his teammate offensive lineman Alec Anderson seeming to help a drive out of a sticky situation on a highway in the Buffalo area. The driver appeared stuck in the snow on the highway in the Orchard Park, N.Y. area.

Van Demark called Anderson “Good Samaritan Alec” in the video.

The Buffalo area was expected to get 1-2 feet of snow, and possibly up to three feet. New York governor Kathy Hochul placed a travel ban in place for the area because of the snowstorm, which is why the wild-card game was moved.

Highmark Stadium hired fans to help shovel the snow ahead of the game on Monday whenever the travel ban is lifted.
