BREAKING: Game 1 Between South Carolina & Clemson Postponed Due To Rain

South Carolina's baseball team has lost an important advantage in the 2023 edition of the Palmetto Series.

After all the anticipation that's hovered around the Palmetto Series for the past several weeks, Mark Kingston and the South Carolina Gamecocks will have to wait almost another 24 hours before the first pitch is thrown this weekend. The program announced a few minutes ago that game one has been postponed due to excessive rain, and will be played at a later date. It's unfortunate for Gamecock fans, as now the advantage of having game one in their home ballpark has been wiped away. We'll see how this postponement potentially affects the weekend rotation.
