Auburn Recruiting Target Places Tigers In Top List Of Schools

Auburn is battling the South's top programs for Atlanta-area recruit

Auburn continues to chip away at one of the South's top offensive line targets.

According to Rivals, the Tigers possess the seventh-best 2025 recruiting class and have eight verbal commitments. One of the keys to truly making it a special class is finding top-notch offensive line recruits, a priority for this cycle.

One of Auburn's top offensive line targets is Dontrell Glover, a former Alabama commitment. He took an unofficial visit to the Plains on Jan. 13 and hails from Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes. Rivals has Glover as the No. 112 prospect in the country.

He's now down to the following nine schools: Georgia, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Florida State, Auburn, Miami, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky.

At 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds, he's a powerful player and projects at guard or center. However, Glover's junior film showcases him as a left tackle as well.

Glover's agility in space is seen with blocking on screens and in pass protection. He's not one's basic interior offensive line mauler; Glover is a quality athlete. He can stay square and pass block against quick edge rushers.

Glover's athleticism will also enable him to pull and block in space, as well as reach the second level and block linebackers easier than most other interior offensive linemen. Combined with his natural power as a downhill run blocker, it's easy to see why programs from across Dixie want Glover on their respective college football rosters.

Auburn would do well to land Glover. The next steps are to get him back on campus for an unofficial visit during spring practice before an official visit this summer.
