D'Angelo Barber could bring aggressive play to the future of Auburn's linebacker position

After watching more tape of D'Angelo Barber, it's clear what he could bring to Auburn's roster in the future.

D'Angelo Barber loves contact. When watching his style of play, it's impossible to ignore.

Whether it's blowing up a hole to attack a ball carrier or taking on a blocker to position him or a teammate to make a play to generate a stop.

The Clay-Chalkville linebacker moves very well. His 6-foot, 221-pound frame seems to move two steps faster than everyone else on the field.

The biggest negative to Barber's tape is that his aggression can sometimes get the best of him. He overpursued several plays and would give up the edge against opposing ball carriers. His athleticism allowed him to fight back into the play and bring down the offensive player but at the next level, that will be tough to overcome against SEC players.

D'Angelo Barber's Recruitment

Every outlet is heavily predicting Auburn has the clear favorite for his services at the next level.

He recently visited Ole Miss but On3's prediction machine has Auburn's chances for his commitment listed at 96.4%.

Barber just wrapped up a visit to Georgia Tech and has a visit scheduled for Arkansas on June 23rd - he's also being recruited by current Hogs' LB coach and former Auburn linebackers coach Travis Williams.

Auburn currently has five commitments in the 2024 class, including four-stars Walker White (QB) J'Marion Burnette (RB), A'Mon Lane (CB), Jayden Lewis (CB) and three-star Martavious Collins (TE).
