The Tigers have added their first tight end commitment of the 2025 class.

Ryan Ghea, a four-star TE from Milton High School has committed to Auburn, per On3.

“The relationships I have with Coach Ben, Coach Logan and Coach Freeze is great," Ghea told On3. "I talk with them multiple times a week, building and developing our relationships. Also, the relationships I’ve developed with the tight end room have played a part. The distance to home is also important. Being close to my family means a lot to me.”

The 6-foot-5, 231-pound prospect from Alpharetta, Georgia is the No. 308 overall player, the No. 15 tight end and the No. 35 prospect in the state of Georgia according to the 247Sports composite.

Auburn beat out Ohio State, Michigan and Florida for Ghea's commitment.

The Tigers currently have the No. 6 class for 2025 and should rise after Ghea's announcement.

247Sports' director of scouting Andrew Ivins describes Ghea as "A longer-limbed tight end prospect with soft hands and some in-line blocking experience [...] Offers up a larger target for quarterbacks with his plus catch radius and does a solid job of tracking the football over his shoulders."

Ivins also believes that Ghea is "Likely to find the most success in more of an attached role once he adds weight. Could add plenty of value for an offense in the red zone."
