Auburn given second-best odds to win the SEC Tournament

Can the Auburn Tigers win the SEC Tournament?

It's almost SEC Tournament time, and the Auburn Tigers were fortunate enough to get a double bye in Nashville.

We won't see the Auburn Tigers play until Friday when they will likely play either Arkansas or South Carolina. Arkansas would have to beat Vanderbilt this evening to play South Carolina, but this shouldn't be an issue. Vanderbilt did beat Arkansas just a few weeks ago, but if the Razorbacks keep up the offensive success, they will win this game. Most expect the Gamecocks to win, but Arkansas has been playing some good basketball, and if they shoot well, they could pull off the upset.

More than likely, the Tigers will play a South Carolina team they beat by 40 points in Neville Arena. The Gamecocks will be looking to avenge this ugly loss by beating Auburn in the SEC Tournament.

Vegas believes Auburn will win this game and thinks that whoever wins between the Auburn Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers will win it all according to the odds.

The Volunteers have the best betting odds to win the SEC Championship at +185, but Auburn is right on their tail at +260. This means that if both Tennessee and Auburn advance to the semi-finals, they will play one another, and Vegas believes whoever wins that game will win the following game in the final, taking home the hardware.

Auburn played the Tennessee Volunteers close in Knoxville, and it took an offensive explosion from Dalton Knecht to beat the Tigers.

Bruce Pearl's team is capable of winning the SEC Tournament, but it will take victories over some outstanding basketball teams to get it done.
