Auburn defensive veteran putting in work over spring break

This Auburn Tiger is working hard on his spring break.

Auburn students are currently on spring break, which means the players get a few days off of spring practice.

When the team gets back to campus from spring break, it will be a full go in spring practice as the Auburn coaching staff looks to start developing the young talent on this roster.

One player who is working hard over spring break is defensive lineman Jayson Jones. His trainer, Coach L, posted a video of him doing burn-out curls to finish up his arm day workout. This is excellent off-field leadership by Jones. The team isn't together right now as spring break is going on, but this video of Jones shows that he is working hard, so the young guys will hopefully see this and do the same thing over the break.

With Auburn bringing in a new defensive coordinator as Ron Roberts left for Florida and Coach Hugh Freeze hired former Texas A&M defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, Jones will need to help lead this young defensive line.

With Coach Freeze's first true recruiting class mostly on campus, a ton of young talented defensive linemen are ready and eager to play and get on the field. Jones is a player who will help the young guys adjust to what it takes to succeed in college football.

Jones had 19 tackles a season ago and will be a big part of Auburn's defensive line in 2024. You can expect his numbers to increase a lot this year as Jones prepares to play his third season in an Auburn uniform.
