Tuesday's press conference with Auburn's Hugh Freeze is one that brought up a wide range of subjects. Before the video below, here are a few of the topics being brought to light:

  • Freeze is closely following Auburn’s men’s and women’s hoops programs. He goes in-depth about why in the video.
  • Auburn is using Thursdays as a teach-only day; no pads.
  • Quarterbacks, and the offense overall, are seeing a lot of different looks from the Tigers' defense.
  • Payton Thorne is still the most comfortable among the signal-callers, “As he should be,” according to Freeze. That’s because of the numerous reps the Auburn quarterback has under his belt.
  • Freeze is really happy about how the young defensive linemen like Amaris Williams and Jamonta Waller are with their effort and trying to learn. He mentions several young Tigers in the video below.
  • Speaking of young players, he’s also high on Auburn’s current 2025 recruiting class and the efforts to improve the program. Freeze brought up, unsolicited, that the entire Auburn staff is in recruiting mode.
