Baylor Bears Men’s Basketball Returns to AP Top 25 Rankings

The Baylor men’s basketball team returned to the Associated Press top 25 rankings released on Monday, Jan. 16, with the Bears currently sitting at No. 21.
Baylor (12-5, 2-3 Big 12) won both its conference games this past week, garnering a five-point victory at West Virginia on Jan. 11 and a 74-58 home win over Oklahoma State on Jan. 14.
Coach Scott Drew and the Bears aim to continue their winning ways when they hit the road to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. Central Time on ESPNU.
The Big 12 Conference currently has six teams ranked in the Top 25: No. 2 Kansas, No. 7 Texas, No. 12 Iowa State, No. 13 Kansas State, No. 14 TCU and No. 21 Baylor.
The Big 12 is also the only conference in the nation to have at least six of its teams in the rankings, with only the Big East (four), Southeastern (four) and Atlantic Coast (three) coming anywhere close.
